We are pleased to announce that our 2026 contest judge, Molly Antopol, has selected a winner, a runner-up, and three honorable mentions from a slate of 14 finalists for the 2026 Short Story Prize. Congratulations to these notables, and thank you to everyone who submitted a story for the prize. We had 475 entries this year. All finalists will be published in Short Story, which will available for purchase later this year.
